Features & Facts
-
Certified Egyptian Cotton
Made with 100% certified Egyptian cotton accredited by the Cotton Egypt Association. Egyptian cotton is grown exclusively in Egypt on the banks of the river Nile. The warm climate and rich soil are perfect for growing the high quality, long staple length cotton fibres we all love in our cotton bed sheets. -
Precious & esteemed
These extra long and strong cotton fibres create a smoother, softer and more durable yarn and fabric for an excellent quality bed linen. We’ve woven these precious fibres into a percale weave fabric for bed linen that feels fresh and crisp. -
The story behind Egyptian Cotton
Egyptian Cotton cultivation began when some neglected cotton plants were noticed in a Cairo garden. It was quickly realised that the extra long fibres could be woven into a strong and fine cloth. Before long, cotton was being cultivated along the banks of the Nile, securing Egypt’s reputation for high-quality cotton. -
Care for quality
This bed linen has gone through some serious testing with a special focus on colour fastness, durability and washability.

Care
For more information, visit our Bed Linen Care Guide
- 1
Pull back the covers
Pull back your duvet to air your bed while you’re getting ready for the day. This helps excess moisture to evaporate so your bed stays fresher and cleaner. - 2
Wash regularly
Keep your bed clean and fresh by changing and washing your bed linen regularly. Once a week is perfect. You can wash this bed linen at 40°C, although we’d recommend you wash it at 30°C for a greener way to stay clean. - 3
Hang to dry
Do your bit for our planet and dry your bed linen by hanging it to dry out of direct sunlight. It will dry best on an outside washing line. If time or space is tight, it can also be tumble-dried. You’ll have fewer creases to deal with if you remove your bed linen from the dryer while slightly damp and then hang it to air dry. - 4
Iron if you like
Because this bed linen is made with a lighter thread count, you may find you can get away without ironing it after washing, especially if you take care to fold it carefully after drying it. If you’d prefer to iron it, then do so while it’s slightly damp. - 5
Check your detergent
Always use the best detergent for the product you are washing. As this is bed linen is white, we’d recommend you use powdered detergents. - 6
Avoid detergents and stain removers containing optical brighteners
They create an optical illusion that changes the appearance of the colour. It’s not just detergents that can affect your bed linen; some creams and face washes contain chemicals that will bleach your bed linen, such as benzoyl peroxide. Suncream and bronzers can also stain your bed sheets; having a shower before bed to remove skin products will help your bed linen stay looking good for longer.
