Features & Facts

Pocket Sprung
This mattress features two layers of pocket springs to create a very supportive mattress. Pocket sprung systems are built exactly as they sound; the individual springs are encased in a fabric ‘pocket’ which allows each spring to respond to your body independently. -
Perfect bed partners
Pocket spring systems are ideal for partners who share a bed. That’s because of the way the pocket springs minimise disturbance and prevent the ‘roll-together’ you can get with other mattress types. If one of you moves a lot at night or is an early riser we’d recommend choosing a zip and link mattress. Zip and link mattresses are made of two individual mattresses, ‘linked’ with a zip. This gives each sleeper their own mattress area, which responds only to the person lying on it. This prevents movements being felt across the bed for a more restful night’s sleep. -
British Wool
The top of this mattress has a thick layer of British wool to help regulate your sleeping temperature no matter what the temperature’s up to, whilst adding comfort. It’s such a good temperature regulator that it adapts to two different body temperatures in the same bed. Wool is naturally hypoallergenic, making this mattress a great choice for allergy-sufferers. -

Look & Feel
- Standard Depth
This mattress is 28cm deep. We recommend standard depth protectors and sheets for this mattress.
- A Choice of Firmnesses
This mattress is available in two firmnesses. The medium-firm mattress is softly supportive and well-suited to side sleepers. The ortho-firm option adds a firmer feel perfect for back sleepers and those who prefer a firmer sleeping surface.
- Soft & Breathable
We’ve covered this mattress with a soft and breathable viscose damask. It provides a smooth and cool sleeping surface that complements the temperature-regulating properties of wool.
- Made to Last
This mattress has been tufted and side stitched for a traditional and robust finish that helps keep fillings in place and supports the structure and sides. The 16 side air vents help circulate air throughout the mattress for greater comfort as you sleep.
Care
Your mattress will feel different according to the base it’s placed on. Any bed base will work, so long as it is well-ventilated – your mattress needs to breathe for it to stay in good condition. Always choose the right size mattress for your bed base. Too small, and it will look strange, too large and you’ll damage the mattress. Sagging or broken bed bases will damage your new mattress, we recommend buying a new bed base at the same time as your mattress. If you intend to use a slatted base, the slats should be no more than 7cm apart.
- 1
Welcome your new mattress
You may notice a slight odour when removing your mattress from its packaging. This is normal and will go away after couple of days. Your mattress may also have compressed slightly during the delivery process; leave your mattress to air and it will quickly bounce back into shape. - 2
Regularly rotate
Your mattress will adapt to the weight and contours of your body; rotating your mattress from foot to end will keep the filling even and extend the life of your mattress. Rotating a mattress is a two-person job, so get some help. - 3
Settlement is normal
After a few weeks of use, you might notice that the sleeping areas are wearing more quickly than the rest of the mattress. Don’t panic! Mattresses with very soft, natural layers do naturally compress slightly and it’s a sign of a high quality fill. You can minimise this settlement by regularly rotating your mattress and using a mattress topper. - 4
Protect what’s precious
Always use a mattress protector. It helps keep your mattress fresh and clean and extends the life of your mattress. - 5
Spot clean only
If you spill on or mark your mattress, spot clean it with soapy water and a cloth. Allow it time to dry thoroughly before making up your bed again. - 6
Pull back the covers
Pull back your duvet to air your bed while you’re getting ready for the day. This helps excess moisture to evaporate so your bed stays fresher and cleaner. Once a week you should air your bed for a few hours by turning back all bedding from the mattress to allow any moisture to evaporate.
